What does 'kemono' mean?

"Kemono" (獣 or けもの) is a Japanese word that means "beast" or "animal." It is often used in anime, manga, and video game culture to refer to anthropomorphic animal characters (similar to "furry" in Western culture).

In Japan, kemono designs can range from realistic to highly stylized, and they are common in genres like kemono friends, kemono gijinka (animal-human hybrids), and kemono furries.

High Quality Fox Fursuits from Mystic Whiskers

Although fursuits come in all kinds of forms, representing different anthropomorphic animals, we've focused on delivering the highest quality fox fursuits available. Foxes have a mystic quality to them, which suits our brand perfectly. From fennec foxes to Artic foxes and culpeos, they're graceful, playful and cute.

If you're worried about individuality, rest assured that every one of our designs is one of a kind, with colour variations being unique.

What is Furry Fandom?

The furry fandom is a community of people who are interested in anthropomorphic animals—characters that have human-like traits, such as walking on two legs, speaking, wearing clothes, or expressing emotions. This interest can include artwork, stories, role-playing, costumes (fursuits), and conventions.

How much does a kemono fursuit cost?

Our full pre-made fursuits range in price from £1,479.99 to £1,599.99. If you're looking for a partial fursuit, heads cost between £429.99 and £559.99, with tails, paws and feet priced separately too.

Digitigrade Legs vs Plantigrade Legs

The difference between digitigrade and plantigrade legs lies in how the animal stands and moves:

  • Digitigrade: Animals that walk on their toes or digits with the heel raised off the ground. Their weight is supported by their toes, making their legs appear longer and giving them a springy, agile movement. Examples include dogs, cats, and birds. This type of stance helps with running and stealth.

  • Plantigrade: Animals that walk with their entire foot — from toes to heel — flat on the ground. This provides more stability but less speed. Examples include humans, bears, and raccoons. It’s great for balance and weight-bearing activities.
